When Daimler and Chrysler merged in 1998, many fans believe that Mopar important period in American production car suddenly came to an end. Indeed, the venerable maker Chrysler, Plymouth, Dodge, and Jeep vehicles will no longer be controlled solely from the Detroit base. Instead, the German luxury car manufacturer Mercedes will set the course and steer the company in the direction they wanted to go. Or so it seemed.

Fortunately, what began as a rocky marriage between a couple of perceived unequals has resulted in offspring that are, well, cool! It took several years for a connection to get on track and that became apparent with the release of Chrysler 300M and Dodge Magnum vehicles. Both cars have performed very strongly since their release in 2004 and have literally set the ground work for the successful launch of the Dodge Charger earlier this year. Charger is based on the same platform 300M/Magnum and was originally meant that the sedan version of the Magnum. Instead, jump in the car had its own personality.
